Light Sabers
Ben Solo's lightsaber was constructed while training as a Jedi Padawan. As Kylo Ren he used the dark side of the Force to bleed the kyber crystal. However, the kyber crystal was cracked in the process, so he modified it by adding lateral vents to either side of the handle in order to divert the extra heat.

Helmet V1
As leader of the masked group, the knights of ren, this helmet marks his status. It also is meant to inspire fear like his grandfather. My boy gets dogged on for this because everyone thinks he is a wanna-be (he his). He really just wears the mask because Kylo Ren is deeply insecure (real).

Helmet V2
Following his succession as Supreme Leader, he scavenged his destroyed helmet for reconstruction. This new helmet features a luminous red lattice of Sarrassian iron that was used to weld the shards together.. Making it both stronger and way cooler.

DL-44 Blaster

When Kylo first joined the Knights of Ren he was given a DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol (the same kind his father, Han Solo, uses). He also uses an unidentifed pistol at the end of Rise of Skywalker which is theorized to be a gift from Lando.

Vehicles

As a Jedi Padawan Ben was in possesion of a starship named Grimtaash. Kylo also has two personal TIE fighters, a TIE Silencer and a customized TIE Whisper.

Outfits

Typically Kylo is seen wearing black robes (long & short), leather pants, with a black cloak. He accessorizes with his helmet, leather gloves, and a wide belt around his middle. As he ages his cloak becomes singed and frayed. His more casual wear mirrors that of his father Han Solo, as well as just a plain black longsleeve shirt. As a padawan he wore typical jedi robes. Kylo is also depicted in various surival situations killing animals for hide or stealing items to wear from locals. My crafty boy :3c

Kylo Ren (born Ben Solo) is a character in Star Wars. As the child of Leia Organa and Han Solo, he is the hereditary Prince of Alderaan. He turned to the dark side of the force and rose to power as master of the Knights of Ren and Supreme Leader of the First Order.

Abilities

Heir to the Skywalker bloodline, Kylo is very profecient in lightsaber combat and extremely strong with the Force. Learning to focus his rage, he is very skilled at telekinesis- especially in combat. Along with being adept in mind control, the dude can telepathically invade minds. He loves a good interregation. Kylo also possesses fast reflexes and is a skilled pilot thanks to his parentage.

Birth

Leia Organa and Han Solo, following the Battle of Endor, promptly got married and conceived their son, the love of my life, Ben Solo. And even during pregnancy Leia sensed Ben’s conflict with the force (yeah star wars magic baby). Ben was born in 5 ABY, one year and 4 days after the Battle of Endor in Hanna City on Chandrila (Mon Mothmas’ homeworld!!). This was the same day that the Galactic Civil War formally ended. Han Solo chose the name Ben in honor of Obiwan Kenobi. And as the son of the Aldraanian princess, Ben Solo inherited the title Price of Alderaan (if only they didn’t blow up the place). As a baby Ben cried A LOT.

Upbringing

Due to his parents busy lifestyle and respective careers, Ben had a rather chaotic upbringing. He grew very close to Chewie and Lando, and referred to them both as uncles, because they would share in caring for him while Han and Leia worked.That is not to say that his parents were totally absent in his early life as Han had great hope for his son to be an adventurer and a pilot like himself. However as he got older his parents relied more and more on droids to take care of him and well… my boy felt abandoned. This only spilt balled when trying to learn more about the significance of his family heritage, as Leia successfully hid his relationship with the Sith and his grandfather's identity for many years. Strong with the force, he was a rather chaotic and angry child. He once overheard his parents talking about his inability to control his powers, and mistook it as them saying he was disturbed. Snoke, and Darth Sidious both knew of Ben’s potential with the force and manipulated him to lash out a lot. Leia also downplayed Snoke’s predatory advances towards Ben from Han as she thought Han would not get the gravity of it (miscommunication runs deep in his blood). It was because of this Leia relied on Luke to then begin training Ben and shield him from the darkside. (Note: Han did not want Ben to become a Jedi).

Jedi Training

In 15 ABY, prior to his 10th birthday Ben decided to begin his Jedi training with Luke Skywalker as his Master (who started a school to rebuild the Jedi Order). Luke knew from the start Ben was exceptional and inherently powerful with the force despite his lack of discipline. Luke, trying desperately to bring back the old Jedi ways emphasized detachment and distance were what every Jedi should strive to achieve. Ben, hating the loneliness of his upbringing and perceived growing-abandonment of his parents, struggled desperately to only just separate his relationship to his Master as his Uncle. Regardless- Ben was a great student, and was devoted and determined to prove himself worthy. Despite feeling immense pressure to live up to his family legacy (which only fueled his insecurities), he would go on to construct his blue-bladed saber and ultimately prove himself as the most gifted student Luke Skywalker would ever train. In Jedi school Ben had many friends but again due to his bloodline he would eventually feel an outcast and his friendships totally shallow. Luke continued to place more pressure on Ben as he got older, having him train other students and the expectation was set for him to become a leader in the New Jedi Order… eventually.

It was going to hit the fan eventually. This is Star Wars!!! Unfortunately in 28 ABY the skywalkers secret lineage was revealed by political enemies of Leia Organa, publically across the entire galaxy. Leia had yet to reveal this to Ben and finding out your grandpa is Darth Vader via Star Wars twitter felt like a MASSIVE betrayal (it was), and only solidified Ben' s resentment for his parents and himself. This also led Ben to justify the dark forces that had been preying on him for his entire childhood… and well Snoke I.E Darth Sidious swooped in.

Fall of Ben Solo

All according to plan!!! Snoke promised guidance and acceptance of his darkness rather than the shame and detachment he had taken from Luke's training. (Grooming him this way was something so demented- only Sheev Palpatine could come up with it). Luke eventually became very aware of the darkness bubbling to the surface in his nephew and went one evening to confront him about it… However Ben was asleep, so Luke reached out with the force and to his utter dismay found him already turned under Snokes’ influence. To which Luke (stupidly) overreacted by drawing his lightsaber. Ben woke up to see his uncle over him with a saber, and realized Luke must have seen the darkness in him and intended to kill him for it. So he drew his own saber and tried to fight back- eventually collapsing the stone hut they were in. He emerged from the rubble thinking he had killed his master, and as the rage flowed through him (the only depiction of him with sith eyes btw) Ben summoned a lighting storm that destroyed the Jedi temple and surrounding area, along with most of his fellow students, with fire and explosions. After a confrontation with his former friends, though having the opportunity to kill them he only injured and incapacitated their ship, Ben fled to meet in person with Snoke.

Face to face, Snoke encouraged Ben to adopt a new name so he would be known as himself and not his heritage. Ben also expressed interest in the group known as the Knights of Ren he had formerly confronted with his Uncle years prior. Snoke was supportive of this idea, and so Ben set out to find them. Long story short, he finds Ren (the leader) and his Knights. But they require a "sacrifice" to fully join in their ranks (Ren was doubtful that he killed his friends and his uncle). Ren let Ben (confusing) accompany them for the time being and suited him up with a blaster and a suspiciously similar outfit to that of his father… Eventually, there is enough conflict inside of Ben that again it takes over him- after being taunted by Ren on his weaknesses and shortcomings- Ben Solo fights Ren to the death. During this fight Ben fully succumbs to the Dark Side, summoning another lightning storm and producing a disturbance in the force that could be felt by his mother across the galaxy. After killing Ren and taking control of his Knights (he also kills his old Jedi friends here) he begins modifying his lightsaber. “Bleeding” his hatred into the krystal and renouncing the Jedi.

He takes on the name Kylo Ren.

Rise of Kylo Ren

Kylo Ren sacrifices everything in his pursuit of power through the dark side, choosing to isolate himself from the people he loved as Ben Solo. In addition to becoming a champion of the First Order (Empire 2.0) which Snoke rules as Supreme Leader. Ren gains the title master of the Knights of Ren, inheriting the command with Snoke's blessing. Through his new master's training, Ben Solo became nothing more than a distant memory and by decree of the Supreme Leader, Ren's true name can never again be spoken. Kylo becomes the Supreme Leader's most gifted apprentice as well as the embodiment of a new generation of dark side warriors. Ren seeks to put his past behind him, become immune to the temptations of the light, and claim his birthright by ruling the weaker beings of the galaxy. He begins idolizing his grandfather Darth Vader (keeping his burnt helmet as a shrine). And he insists to exist outside of the First Order command structure, which is confusing to literally everybody but him since again he is mirroring his grandfather. This creates a lot of conflict with him and General Armitage Hux (commander of Starkiller base (death star 3.0 x 500) ) both of which vie for the attention of Snoke. Snoke also takes it upon himself to basically torture Kylo with various challenges in order to “prove” his dedication to the dark side (visions of his parents he is forced to kill or cry over, putting him in charge of enforcing First Order dominion AKA killing a bunch of people all over the Galaxy, bullying him everyday of every hour and forcing him to build himself back up again, just down right abusive stuff). Snoke also continues to warn him of equal forces at play, insisting that a light side champion would arise to be his prime opponent. Leading us to the cinematic depiction of Kylo Ren.

The Force Awakens

After arriving on Jakku to retrieve a map containing the coordinates where Luke Skywalker can be found, Ren kills an elderly man named Lor San Tekka. He orders his stormtroopers to slaughter the local civilians, then captures the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. Ren learns that Poe has entrusted the map to BB-8. After Ren is alerted to the presence of BB-8 on Takodana, he travels there and captures the scavenger Rey, who has seen the map. While interrogating her, he realizes she is strong with the Force. She resists his powers and experiences his emotions, realizing that he is afraid he will never be as powerful as his grandfather, Darth Vader. Han arrives on Starkiller Base and confronts his son. He implores him to abandon the dark side, warning him that Snoke will kill him once he has control of the galaxy. Ren at first seems receptive to his father's request, but then ignites his lightsaber and kills him. Enraged, Chewbacca fires at Ren, wounding him. Ren then pursues Rey and the rogue stormtrooper Finn, who are fleeing the now-unstable base. Finn battles Ren with a lightsaber, but Ren overpowers and severely injures him. Rey then takes up the lightsaber and, using the Force, begins to overcome Ren. Before the duel is finished, they are separated by a seismic fissure created by the collapsing base. Rey and Chewbacca escape with the unconscious Finn as Snoke orders General Hux to bring Ren to him to complete his training.

The Last Jedi

Kylo Ren begins having conversations with Rey, whom he connects with through the Force. Rey also learns from Luke why Ben Solo turned to the dark side. Rey believes there is still good in Ren, and resolves to bring him back. Kylo is reproached by Snoke for his failure to defeat Rey, and Kylo subsequently tries to prove himself by leading an attack on a Resistance starship. He hesitates to destroy it when he senses that his mother is on board, but his wingmen blast apart the ship's bridge, which almost kills her. When Rey arrives to confront Ren, he captures her and brings her to Snoke, who tortures her before ordering Ren to kill her. Instead of complying, Ren kills Snoke, then slays his guards with Rey's assistance. Ren then asks Rey to join him in ruling the galaxy. She hesitates and then refuses, realizing that Ren will not abandon the dark side. The two engage in a Force struggle over Luke's lightsaber, which causes it to break in half; Ren is knocked unconscious. After Rey escapes, Ren frames her for Snoke's assassination. He uses the Force to strangle Hux until he acknowledges him as the new Supreme Leader, then launches an attack on the Resistance base on Crait. When Luke appears during the assault, Ren orders his men to fire on him. The weapons have no effect, and Ren decides to face Luke alone. Luke soon reveals that he is only present as a Force projection, which serves as a distraction to allow the Resistance fighters to escape.

It helps explain the decisons of Kylo Ren, his ongoing conflict with his past, the force and of course his grandfather in the following movie.

The Rise of Skywalker

Ren has been ruling the First Order for a year. At the start of the film, he is searching for a Sith wayfinder to lead him to the Sith planet Exegol. When he arrives on Exegol, he encounters Emperor Palpatine, who has been resurrected. Palpatine reveals that he has been manipulating Ren and the First Order; he created Snoke to lure Ren to the dark side. Palpatine unveils the Final Order, a massive fleet of Star Destroyers built by the Sith Eternal. He tells Ren that if he kills Rey, he will be given the armada and will rule a new Sith Empire.

Kylo again continues corresponding with Rey through the Force to discern her location. Eventually, Ren informs Rey that the two of them are a dyad in the Force with powerful potential when joined. He also reveals that she is Palpatine's granddaughter, and urges her to join him in overthrowing Palpatine. After Rey refuses, Ren follows her to Kef Bir, the location of a second wayfinder. He destroys the wayfinder and engages her in a duel. During their battle, Leia reaches out to Ren through the Force (dies), which distracts him long enough for Rey to impale him. Guilt-ridden, Rey uses the Force to heal Ren, confessing to him that she wanted to take Ben Solo's hand, but not Kylo Ren's. After Rey steals his ship and leaves, Ren converses with a memory of his father, who urges him to renounce the dark side. Following their brief conversation, Ren tosses away his lightsaber and becomes Ben Solo once again. YAY!!!!!

Ben rushes to help Rey defeat Palpatine on Exegol. She senses his presence and uses their Force connection to give him Luke's lightsaber, which Ben uses to slay the Knights of Ren (a great mischaracterization). Palpatine senses Rey and Ben's dyad connection. He absorbs their life energy to restore his full power, before casting Ben into an abyss. Rey manages to kill Palpatine, but then collapses, seemingly dead. Ben returns and transfers his life essence into her, successfully reviving her but sacrificing his own life in the process (eye roll). They share a kiss before Ben dies in Rey's arms (boo). His body and the body of Leia simultaneously fade away into the Force. The END!

None of this movie is canon in my head except for the scene with his ghost dad. TBH!!!!!

What? Why.

I love Kylo Ren. He is me, I am him. Would he probably hate my guts? Absolutely!!! That is the beauty of it.

First time I saw the teaser footage of his lightsaber- I knew I was done for. Then in a fully packed theater at 15, the prime age for brain altering moments, he took his helmet off and the rest is history. And ik you are probably going: “Isn’t this dude like evil…” and to that I say, yes and no. It’s complicated. He is so complicated and I love him for it. His insecurities, his anger, his mommy and daddy issues- I love him. I want to hug him, slap him, and also passionately kiss. This is the way. Do I necessarily like what they did with his character? NOT ONE BIT. Does it matter? Not particularly, he exists in my head for ME!! I LOVE HIM!!!

The Hunt for Ben Solo 3/11/2026

NOW! I don't know how much you are into Star Wars news, but in October of 2025 Adam Driver came out and said that Disney CANCELED this big secret Ben Solo movie project that literally just needed the Go-ahead to start filming. See Here The Hunt for Ben Solo. It would have been directed by Steven Soderbergh. Rebecca Blunt helped outline the story. Which was brought to Lucasfilm who loved the idea. They then brought in Scott Burns to write the final script. This was almost 3 years of development. It would have followed post Rise of Skywalker, and had found a way to bring Ben Solo back from the dead. It was canceled because DISNEY EXECS (DEROGATORY), Bob Iger and Alan Bergman said that they did not see how he could be alive. WHICH IS SUCH BULLSHIT. OK. THERE ARE SO MANY WAYS THAT STAR WARS HAS BROUGHT PEOPLE BACK FROM THE DEAD BUT BEN SOLO IS WHERE WE ARE DRAWING THE LINE?!?!?!?! WHATEVER… deep breaths. I am really upset about this man. It sucks to know something that obviously would have been made for me was on the brink of being MADE REAL and Disney refused the investment. The divide between Lucasfilm and Disney needs to be fixed. You can just tell what projects are Star Wars and which are Disney’s doing now. Supposedly they were even going to make it PRACTICAL with a smaller budget and “more handmade” feel. Stupid idiot loser Shawn Levy gets his 700 Million dollar Slopathon with Ryan Gosling that will probably shit allllllll over the Star Wars timeline. But real art and passion gets shelved potentially forever. Right. Right. The only good news is that the Reylos took this shit PERSONALLY and started a global campaign for the film to be made. There were billboards in Time Square and planes leaving chem trails over Disney Studios. It was really cool to see.

As of March of 2026 (rn) Josh D’Amaro is replacing Bob as the CEO, and Kathleen Kennedy also stepped down to be replaced by Dave Fioli and Lynwen Brennan. One can only hope that this project sees the light of day, preferably before Adam Driver needs to be recast. I want it SO BAD. While I would like for it to be the full realized project, I would take a novel, or a comic or ANYTHING. PLEASE. Bring my boy back to me.

LEGACY OF VADER #12!!!!!! 1/14/2026

This leads us to the last issue (as of right now) of this series. Much to my dismay. This was genuinely one of the things I have looked forward to every month for an entire year. I loved Kylo Ren Day. I know this is news to everyone but I LOVE KYLO REN. I love him. I know I said that #9 was my favorite because of Tava but I think #12 probably ties with it. Just so awesome. It is so psychedelic, which also means this is going to be really hard to summarize.

It begins with Kylo in some weird dimension.Vader is there and he states that all Kylo has with him in this “true” place are those voices he brings with him. (Keep this in mind for later). Kylo is stillllll hell bent on this idea of being promised “power.” To which Vader states was never promised to him. “Power must be taken.” Kylo then literally slips off of a GIANT version of Vader and is again met with another Vader. (Take a shot everytime I say Vader). This Vader starts a fight. “This is what you wanted. This is what you came here to understand. You have pursued this end, chosen it at every opportunity. Pay Attention.” Kylo then FINALLY begins to understand. “Is this all we are? Fighting each other generation after generation?” Vader responds, “Forever… There is no destiny. Only power and how we use it.” The big reveal that this “power” is the truth. “Vader saw himself as he truly was.” And then he takes off his helmet revealing that this has been Ben Solo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All along. Kylo vs Ben LITERALLY. Ben is like “stop being so stubborn, this is the past you are trying to kill” (referring to himself, GIVE ME A CIGARETTE). Obviously Kylo is gonna fight him on this. So while they are saber battling Ben starts dropping TRUTHNUKES. I mean reads his ass to fucking FILTHHHHHHHH. It is so satisfying but also OWWWWWWW. There is literally like 5 pages of Ben summarizing exactly what is wrong with Kylo and why he is who he is. He defines his pain, his failure, his denial. The last statement that really puts the nail in the coffin is “That is why you’re obsessed with your past. That is why you want to Kill it. Because maybe if you weren’t who you are, maybe if you could just ERASE it… then the Jedi girl would have taken your hand.” Kylo cannot escape the truth of himself. He is a scared little baby who is constantly crying on the inside. The next full page spread is I think my favorite piece of kylo anything ever. Han and Leia hold baby Ben. “What do you think he's going to be Han?”... “Whatever he wants, Leia, we’ll make sure of it.” SHOOT ME!!!! Ben then states he could make it stop (implying killing him) but Ben won’t ever do that because he is a Jedi. Kylo… my stupid boy, then demands to fight something “real” (he is again in denial about wtf is going on) (( if theres one thing about Kylo Ren is that we are going to be walking around in circles)). Ben again is like dude YOU have to make your own choices. Stop with the past bullshit. Ignore your demons and move forward. “You want a real enemy? You’ll find one. Be careful what you wish for.” And then sends Kylo back out of the Vault. Literally leading to the FALL of Kylo Ren. We see Ben fade into a force ghost and the last panel states-- “The Reign Ends. The Fall Begins. Kylo Ren… Will Return.”

To me this means we will get another comic series hopefully or I have a theory all of this was supposed to tie into the Ben Solo movie. More on that in the next entry. Do read this series for yourself! It is a very good exploration of Kylo Ren. Charles Soules and Co. understand him. Thank god. I am devastated I do not get monthly Kylo Ren lore drops anymore but I am so grateful to have gotten any. I love Kylo Ren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LEGACY OF VADER #11!!!!!! 12/3/2025

Issue 11!! :D The cover art of 11 is CRAZY. Kylo being forced into Vader’s Helmet?!??!?! I need to go for a walk. Right where we left off at the end of 10, Vanee is monologuing to Kylo who again is trapped in the bacta tank. Vanee admits that he sees the “greatness” in Kylo that his grandfather possessed and the only way to complete the transformation is “death.” Essentially Vanee thinks that putting Kylo through the exact trials and tribulations that turned Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader will unlock this greatness. Insanity. He forces Kylo, who is very much awake into Vader’s masks, tied up on a podium that he slowly begins lowering into the Lava on Mustafar. Kylo tries using the force to stop him but Vanee reminds him that only HE can free him from the situation.This is obviously a lie, and kylo breaks out of the restraints just in time. Breaking the masks and leaving it behind. Kylo then goes through a labyrinth of traps, as Vanee monologues some more. Stating that the galaxy NEEDS a Vader, and it is his duty, his legacy to create another. He reveals that events in the past issues were all tailored events by Vanee himself to have Kylo literally walk in Vader’s footsteps. The dude is insane, but this does not surprise me from a guy who is literally a floating head. Kylo then reaches a spot where he has to fight a bunch of security droids, and he summons a YELLOW light saber, which he then BLEEDS the crystal for to defeat the remaining bots. I love when they let him be silent but deadly. Kylo is really talented when it comes to everything that does not involve self reflection or feelings. Kylo finally comes face to face with Vanee who is really pissing himself, and demands to know if the vault was “real” to which Vanee admits he has NO clue because literally only Vader himself ever saw it. Another revelation for the reader is that whatever Kylo just experienced in the previous issue must have not been Vader’s true vault, as this entire scene takes place in front of this ominous ass doorway. Kylo obviously pissed tf off, my baby loves to rage out, kills Vanee (thank god). We then get one of the most satisfying lines I have ever read. “My potential? I have been hearing about my potential since I was THREE YEARS OLD. Listen to me. I am already everything I need to be.” AND THE WHOLE CROWD CHEERS. It ends with Kylo walking into the doorway. “Are you afraid?” calls from the darkness. If you are asking me, yeah I was. WTF.

LEGACY OF VADER #10!!!!!! 11/5/2025

Issue 10 jumps to the start of the final arc of this series. Kylo and Vanee and his relationship with his grandfather, Darth Vader, and Kylo’s conflict with the light-- which has been previously explored in earlier issues, it has all been building up to this. They are on Mustafar, at Vaders’ Fortress. Kylo is curious on how to find Luke Skywalker. He knows he is dead, but he also knows that there are ways to “cheat” this death. So he asks Vanee once again for the “secrets” Darth Vader possessed to be so powerful. Vanee, who continues to be suspiciously wishy-washy in his true motives, admits he doesn’t know but they could be in his vault. Kylo is determined to do this on his own. While I am not exactly the biggest Star Wars nerd on the planet, from my understanding this is the first time Vader’s Vault has ever been depicted. So again this comic series is sooooo HUGE. What follows is some shit out of a horror movie. Stuck in mud, fighting skeletal demons of everyone he’s ever “failed.” Note the use of both a red and blue saber!!!!!! He then gets teleported?? To the force heaven, where all the force ghosts hang out. Again this is some real Star War nerd stuff, I am not gonna get into it, but it is huge for the lore of the force and what not. He apparently should not have even been able to have even reached there in the first place and all the jedi masters are like ???? Hello ??? wtf??? “His pain is extraordinary. It screams.” WHAT IF I DIE???? So he and Luke (because Luke is there obviously) have a conversation. Kylo is insistent on Luke’s abandonment and betrayal. He really is torn up about Luke teaching Rey. But admits that Luke is always watching him, stating he can ”feel it” (another proof of his confliction with the force). Luke drops another TRUTHNUKE on Kylo. “You should ask yourself how you found your way here. Kylo Ren means nothing to me. (This makes me sick to my stomach. He is so stuck.) Cut to the real world, Kylo is messed up and Vanee takes advantage of this. Putting him into Darth Vader's own bacta tank, “You are just where you need to be.” They have him going through the 9 circles of hell. My poor boy. I do really love the last 5 issues of this comic.

LEGACY OF VADER #9!!!!!! 10/15/2025

Alright. Long time no Kylo Ren update. While I have been away, all of the LOV comics have come out. Coincidentally the one that came out when I got my computer sent to the nether realm, is probably my favorite. TAVA REN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love her so much. I love their dynamic. I think there's so much potential in this character I could die happy about it. She is AWESOME. She is everything I wanted her to be. I want a series on her SO bad.

LOV #9 starts off from where #8 ends, Tava kneeling before Kylo. Kylo then proceeds to fight her, because OF COURSE he does. But she has SOOOOO much swag. She is like if Kylo was actually badass. They fight and she is saucy and flirty with him. It rocks. Obviously Mr. “I was professionally trained by force masters” wins. BUT!!! And this is HUGE, he does NOT kill her. They share #secrets together and he has no one else to talk to. (and he is desperate for connection…). It then cuts to them in a private dining room, where Tava is CHOWING down. Kylo is curious about the whereabouts of the knights since he left them.. (let’s be fr he misses them). Obviously since she is Tava REN, she has taken control of the Knights. We get like 3 seconds of backstory of “HOW but not WHY.” TLDR, she was an enforcer for a gang, the KOR got captured, she frees them, she kills a bunch of people and they shrimply are too lost without a leader so they let her become Ren. Now personally I think there is definitely more backstory there, because she just says “oh yeah I learned the dark side” and that's all we get… so again I hope her story is expanded on. ANYWAY. Flashback over, Tava admits she came to him with the intention of killing Kylo, and they flirt some more. “I have touched you through the shadow and I am sure you’ve done the same to me. I know you in a way only people like us can know each other.” HELLO???? CHILLOUT. She then proceeds to read him to FILTH. Kylo is dead set on forgetting the Knights (because Snoke told him to) but really it was the closest thing to FREEDOM he has ever had. He yearns to be FREE of this PAIN!!! “Searching for something, ANYTHING else.”

And then… get this… THEY KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!! Let me tell you I freaked OUTTTTTT when I first read this issue. Honestly I am still not over it. She obviously is playing into his burning need for intimacy, just to get a real reaction out of him. (But still my boy got his first kiss!!!!!) And ofc he fumbles it. Immediately calling for her execution. Which is SO funny. A kiss immediately breaks down at least 85% of the walls he has put up, so it makes total sense that Kylo's immediate reaction would be to prove the facade he is dead set on keeping up (the entire point of this comic series). “That is who I am.” You literally wouldn't know who you are if he slapped you in the face (foreshadowing). Tava flees, her last words to him being “I am not wrong. Everything I have said about you is true.” #TRUTHNUKE. She fights like every storm trooper and even uses the force to escape back on her ship. It ends with Hux stating they could literally blow her out the sky, but Kylo, dear sweet “I am a monster” Kylo… lets her go. GOD. This issue makes me want to run laps. So good. This is like my own personal strain of heroin.

#8 TAVA REN TAVA REN!!!!!! 9/3/2025

This has been my most anticpated thing for the entire year, no joke. TAVA MFKING REN!!!!! DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok so in Legacy of Vaader #8 it begins with the Knights on a misson fighting some monks. All of them except for Tava flees, (dude Vicrul and Kuruk talk to each other- holy shit this is so huge) and Tava is like "hey wtf guy we had that shit in the bag???? wtf is with you guys now." All of them are like "well... so basially there was this guy named Kylo Ren." and shes like "who the fuck is Kylo Ren???" And then we get KNIGHTS OF REN POST LAST JEDI ERA BACK STORY!!!!!!!!!!!! Esentially this backstory reworks the messy details of the Knights in ROS into something cooler. (literally sobbing in pure joy, I HAVE PRAYED FOR THIS). Kylo terrorizes the galaxy with his Knights and slowly they watch him become darker and more solitary (they think he is crazy... he is). Snoke then comes to pick Kylo up from his crusader shenangans to finally start the real work (Darth Sidious Dark Side Master Plan Stuff). He orders the Knights killed and Kylo is like "wtf" and the knights are like "ummm yeah wtf?????" and then they flee for their lives. Kylo and Knights seperated. In the present, Tava is now with them (where did she come from omg)- to which Tava declares them "broken" and the cause of it their absent leader "Kylo Ren." Flash forward to my pookie supreme leader on the Finalizer- Tava pays Kylo a visit. TAKING OFF HER MASK. AND HOLY FUCKING FACE CARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I am so giddy. You have no IDEA!!!! LOOK AT HER!!!!!!! I AM SO BISEXUAL!!!!! I am going to be extremely normal about her. Very Normal. The next few comics will be about Tava Ren tricking Kylo and trying to over throw his leadership of the Knights. So far this is almost exactly what I expected. There was just no way we were getting Knights of Ren plot and it not be some rework into ROS. I think Kylo is going to let Tava over step and take his Knights (my little door mat), they'll beef is out but I think he might purposely lose. I think ATP in the Kylo lore- he might be conflicted about losing his found family but it is just becomes a new thing to add to the memory self torture roulette. Eventually this all piles into him going back to the light etc etc. It still needs to eventually make sense why he ends up KILLING ALL OF THEM (him becoming Ben again is literally not a reason and this bb backstory proves it)..... you know they could just rewrite all of ROS. For me :)! Re-do all of it!!! Yeah!!!! It is a comic book!!!!!! They could!! Also do not tell anyone but I so want them to kiss. She should seduce him, he would fold. FAST. Idk all I know is that I am Tava Rens' biggest fucking fan. I need to know everything about her. THE GLOWING NECK SCAR???!?!?!?! HELLO EXPLAIN. Seriously. ASAP. WDYM I have to wait a month... oh my god.

He wears glasses 8/28/2025

A few days ago a genuine prop helmet from The Force Awakens was announced to be put up for auction. The proceeds benefit the Aoki Foundation and I wish I had $500,000 to drop on a Helmet. It is pretty fricking cool. I have been marinating on it for a bit and I am going to mention my thoughts just to get it out. In the helmet, is a detachable prescription pair of glasses that Adam Driver wore during filming. Ok. Cool! So just sit there and imagine that for a second. Yeah. Kylo Ren has glasses under the helmet. Everytime he has that helmet on, he has his prescriptions on. It is so silly. Why did they custom make glasses for the helmet, over him just wearing contacts???? Do contacts have claustrophobia… idk but it's now basically canon! He already wore glasses in my head but this adds a new layer to it. I could have never imagined glasses UNDER the helmet. In the interrogation scene he takes the helmet off, but he doesn't Force put in contacts???? so he literally can't see!!!! Every scene where he takes the helmet off on screen, he is blind as a bat. Every scene he does take the helmet off (minus one with Snoke) he is doing it to be intimidating and flex. BOY you are BLIND!!!! And the idea that he wears the glasses ONLY under the helmet- is SO funny. He is such a dweeb. We could go even deeper with this and say he is leaning more on the force to see for him which is SO Star Wars… or maybe he is doing it as a little self torture ritual, he loves those. Regardless, he is dramatic. And I love this new detail.

I also want to note that I have purchased a concerning amount of Kylo Ren trading cards… so I might make a whole page just for them. It might be cool to list out every trading card he is on (there is a lot). I plan on putting them everywhere. I even bought a new clear phone case so I can switch them out like a wife whose husband is overseas holding a locket to her chest on a porch somewheres’ yk? Also- I have been drawing him more than usual (concerning? Mmm maybe). I am stuck on a vision of an AU where a redeemed Ben Solo joins the MFP. That is so good in my head you have no idea. I WISH you could see the Kylo Ren Mad Max movie that is playing HD in my head rn. Dude, you can just imagine whatever you want. Is that not so cool? Consciousness has one good thing. Kylo Ren.

Legacy of Vader #7 8/6/2025

Ok so as expected he gets fucking bodied by this grandma. Mental mind games and he LOSES because he is a LOSER!!! Her backstory is pretty bog standard for all Order 66 survivors but it is cool she relied on mind-control over fighting. The story of this one was kinda quick, but it is ok. I will take what I can get. She takes him out back and he gets his mind read. And if theres one thing Kylo Ren hates it's having to CONFRONT HIS EMOTIONS. She guesses his name because apparently all he does in there is scream "I am Kylo Ren. I am Kylo Ren. I am Kylo Ren." like he is "trying to drown something out." Do not even ask me wtf this old lady is doing floating with glowy eyes... but when she's like "who are you. WHO ARE YOU!!!!" YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GET HIM!!!!! I cried a little bit. He is so messed up in the head. Iwanna give him a hug :/. He then learns that Luke is actually dead asf and the old lady vanishes. I forgot he literally does not know Luke dies after the force projection stunt in Last Jedi (because the writing for ROS is so ass). So obviously it ends with him having a fit. WE GOT HYPE MOMENTS, AURA AND GOOD WRITING!!! I thought this would go down hill by down but it is actually pretty fkn good. I just wish there was more and/or longer.

Legacy of Vader #6 7/9/2025

I 100% forgot that for some reason the #6 release was like a week after the last one so I woke up today with a gift under the tree. There is really not too much to report about this one. It is pretty much filler... he kills more rebEls and theres a sick drawing of him on the throne being worshiped by stormtroppers. (I am there you just can't see me btw). He has some beef with Hux (nothing new) and is the angry man-child I know and love. They argue in his room which is interesting because you barely get to see that sad little bed in the movies but in every panel they were sure to draw the SIGULAR folded blanket. Made me laugh. It gets interesting when they start setting up the next arch of the story. Hunting down Jedi (the typical star wars plot driver). He goes to an ice planet to find said jedi and is in the CUTEST MOST SCRUMPTIOUS coat of all time. Whoever the artist is for this one CHEFS KISS. SO GOOD. He is going to get his ass handed to him by a space grandma. I hope he cries. Also Kylo Ren orders wine at a bar confirmed. THIS LOSER. I love him. No really look at his little outfit omg.

I’m so emo. I was wondering where in gods name they were going with the stupid king of Naboo plot. Happy to report they are actually cooking. He takes over Naboo, so he can play undercover in the rebellion he creates, so that he can directly attack the first order, and therefore himself????!!!! His excuse being that the planet needs a catalyst to evolve. (Babe if anything, YOU need a catalyst to evolve). Vanee promptly calls him out on his emo shit. “You have invented these reasons to attack the first order because it’s as close as you can come to attacking yourself” COOOOOOOOKING!!!!!!!! Chat… he’s self harming again. He then does what he always does when confronted on his wishwash dark-sideness and KILLS ALL OF THE PEOPLE??? Because of course, very Vader of you bro. Soooo Vader. Vanee keeps suggesting he needs a “real enemy.” Kylo agrees because he’s tired of constantly “taking and taking and taking” (he can come take me idk). (Also since this is after TLJ, Rey already rejected his ass so it is not her). Based on the blurb for #6 I think he is going to hunt down Order 66 survivors (again) and eventually find Tava Ren. I think she’s going to be the long lost daughter of the OG Ren or something and they are gonna duke it out for a few chapters, maybe it’s a toxic romance or something. That’s my current hypothesis. Emotional thinking about Undercover Kylo (he loves going undercover fr) wondering if this is what it would have felt like to grow up with his parents. KMS!!!!!! (also wtf is this new outfit, it is so silly).

Ok so updating this way sooner than expected??? OHHHHHH my god they just dropped a new variant and HOLY SHIT SHE HAS A NECK SCAR OF SOME KIND- THE DESCRIPTION ALSO WAS UPDATED. It reads "THE KNIGHTS OF REN RETURN! With a new LEADER! TAVA REN. In order to control the Knights Tava must KILL Kylo Ren!" WHICH!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!? FJSDDGHSKG umhmmmmm are they retconning? are they gonna recon? or is he gonna hand it over/kick her ass? ir uhhmmm ugfghfjghfkhjd IDK IM FREAKING OUT!!!!! ARE THEY GONNA KILL HIM IN A COMIC???????? I WILL CRY!!!!!!!! BRO.... BROO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am the only person on the earth that gaf about this probably buT UMMMMMMM- hey can we not kill my fav for a second time? Maaybe... idk. I am telling myself that since he becomes Ben Solo they are writing in a way to make the KOR fight scene at the end of ROS make sense. Yes. That is what they are doing. MHM!!!!! Tava Ren 6/15/2025

In the current comic series Legacy of Vader (aka the thing taking up 85% of my brain thinking slots atm) they have (supreme leader) Kylo going to various different places on a nostalgia trip guided by Vanee (darth vaders old servant/hench man idk he’s weird). God is he ever so desperate to prove himself to a buncha GHOSTS. GIVE IT UP!!!- anyway I’m not gonna get into it right now but so far it’s like putting him in a torture snow globe and shaking it around. He’ll be fine… totally.

BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND- during the Star Wars anniversary in Japan they released almost all the covers for the rest of the series. And in #8 there is to be a new character named TAVA REN. She’s on the cover and they revealed her along side a stand-alone character sketch drawing thing. All we really know so far is that she’s humanoid… lol- and that the “Ren” last name should in some way implicate her being the leader of the Knights? Which????!,!?!?’csncjxkmfjwieifnsjndjr. If that is the case then I think that this whole series was supposed to be a tie in with The Acolyte (Kylos theme plays at the end of the last episode and the show runners confirmed they were gonna expand on knights of ren lore if IT WASN’T CANCELLED…and this would have been the downtime for making a season 2…) but now we probably will never know anything for certain. (I am haunted, I hate the Star Wars nostalgia bros so much). All I’m saying is that it’s either there’s a splinter group of KOR, she somehow comes before Ren in the KOR leader timeline? or she is a successor / challenger of some kind. Maybe they write in a way that actually makes sense of why he kills his knights at the end of ROS… like he was challenged and dethroned so they had no loyalties to him anymore. Personally I would want it to be far out of left field, like she’s actually his protege… or I think it would be extra cool if the founder of the knights was a woman. That would slay. It should be noted that If she does turn out to be an underling then right on down to the red hair and sith blade- she could very well be my oc (not one that I’ve shared to the public) LOL. Basically what I am saying is that I am biased and she just seems so fkn cool. The red hair!!!!!!! I love her already, I am excited because there’s potential for her to become a a favorite character of mine. My very own gulp. I also just keep thinking about her because this will be the first time in almost 5 years that they’ve done anything truly NEW with Kylo. And no walking around tatooine with your grandpas hench man and become the King of Naboo (literally where is this series going)???????? does not count (still in the past babe still in the past). I have to go outside soon and get my ass to the comic book store before the variant cover of #4 is replaced with #5 on the 25th. It’s haunting me because I really want it but It just takes me a hot minute to go outside even for kylo ren. I am telling myself Tuesday.

Kylo Ren Braids His Hair 6/12/2025

In the BTS for The Force Awakens Adam Driver can be seen walking around/practicing his lines etc... with the top part of his hair braided. His hair and makeup artist is the very talented Amy Komorowski- who I owe my life btw. But these images have been hanuting- I mean PLAGUING my thoughts for weeks now. Every other thought is about Kylo Ren braiding his hair to fit under the helemet or for the floof. And if you look at the difference in TFA and TLJ there is signifigantly less floofage, in my mind this means he is too busy with yk.. being tormented by the dark side, that he simply does not bother as much with his hair. My evidence is simple: He looks rough (lovingly). New scar, heavy eye bags, no time to braid his hair. However, the idea alone that he DOES take the time and have the skill to braid his hair is what I keep getting stuck on. He looks so good with the braided hair. Amen. Kylo Ren braids his hair. That is all.
